Dine out

Although you will probably want to enjoy the dining facilities at Cringles House for parts of your stay, there are many good restaurants, and pubs offering food nearby, providing a selection of local and international foods.

In Addingham, a 120 minute walk (with hills) from Cringles House, there are good pubs offering quality food – including the characterful Fleece public house.

One well known pub and restaurant nearby is the The Devonshire Brasserie & Bar at Bolton Abbey, where you can enjoy great views across the valley towards Bolton Abbey.  The surroundings are particularly pleasant on a warm Summer’s evening, and a walk along the river bank is well worth it.

The Cow and Calf above Ilkley near the famous Cow and Calf rocks has great views and has a beer garden and outside seating area with views of the moors.

Ilkley also has a good selection of restaurants.  The best is probably the renown Michelin starred Box Tree Restaurant, which is at the higher end in terms of prices. The Grove in Ilkley has several restaurants, including Bettys famous for its breakfasts and afternoon teas.
Le Pierre Bistro in Ilkley offers a French eating experience in the historic Crescent building.

Tripadvisor’s list of restaurants in Ilkley may provide you with some ideas of where to dine out.
